Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 June 2026
This policy explains what we collect when you ask to join the Brief private beta, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Brief is operated by the makers of be/brief. If you have a question about your data, contact us at privacy@beonbrief.com.
What we collect
When you submit the request-access form, we collect the email address you provide and the free-text answer to "what would you hand to a team first?". We collect nothing else through the form, and there is no account to create at this stage.
We do not use cookies, and our analytics are cookieless (see below), so we do not build a profile of you across sites or sessions.
Why we collect it, and your consent
We use this information for one purpose: to evaluate and manage the private-beta waitlist, and to send you a single message when an invitation is ready. Submitting the form is an active opt-in to that one contact. There is no pre-checked box and no bundled marketing consent. We will not add you to a newsletter or any other list.
Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in running a waitlist for a product not yet open to everyone.
Where your data is stored
Waitlist entries are stored with Supabase, our data processor, in a project provisioned in the European Union. This store is separate from any future Brief product systems. Data stays in the EU; we do not transfer it elsewhere for storage.
How we protect it
The form is protected against automated abuse with Cloudflare Turnstile and rate limiting. Your free-text answer is sanitized before storage. Access to the waitlist store is restricted to the people who manage the beta.
How long we keep it
We keep your entry until the private beta ends or you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. When the beta concludes we will delete waitlist data we no longer need.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you have given us at any time. Email privacy@beonbrief.com and we will act on your request. If you are in the EU or UK, you have these rights under the GDPR.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. It is cookieless and does not track individuals across sites, which is why this site shows no cookie banner.
Changes
We may update this policy as Brief moves toward launch. When we make a material change we will update the date above.
